Legal Requirements: PowerSweep Pty Ltd is required to comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (“the Act”) when handling all personal information obtained through business operation. What information does PowerSweep collect ? :The type of information that we collect about you will depend on the type of product or service requested by you, it could range from type of business, intended application for the proposed products through to literally anything that is reasonable and necessary to serve your needs. If you choose to pay for the product or service ordered by credit card, then we will usually require details of the type of card, name of the cardholder, card number, and the card expiry date.

How we collect your personal information: PowerSweep Pty Ltd will only collect personal information by lawful means and with our customers authority.   We will collect personal information directly from you when we are required to supply quotations, mail literature to you, receive e-mail or web site enquiry’s or written correspondence, further to this information from third party credit reporting agencies with the sole objective to provide you with the product or service you request.

How we use your personal information: We use this information solely for the following purposes:               1. The purpose for which it was collected;
2. To maintain the objectives of the privacy statement
3. Fulfill our legal requirements (for example, disclosure to law enforcement agencies and courts).

At the point of collection we will inform you of the use to which the information will be put and to whom we may disclose the information. We may also use your information to offer you promotional specials, products or services that may be of interest, or further information concerning the PowerSweep product range or www.powersweepdirect.com.au Website facility. If you do not wish us to use your personal information for these purposes, please contact our Privacy Officer.

Your information is secure: PowerSweep only uses the most up-to-date and secure technology in the processing of your personal information. When you submit your information through our website it is sent through a secure server that uses encryption technology which scrambles the information to protect it when sent through the internet. Powersweep also has numerous internal securities practices to ensure no reviewing, recording, or disclosing of your personal information is possible at any time other than when required to process our clients orders.

Who will use your personal information: We will not share, sell or trade your personal information to any Company or person. Credit Card number and expiry information is not stored in any PowerSweep database. We store the approval information provided back to us by the bank, for reconciliation purposes only. The Cardholder name is stored by us for reference should the transaction be disputed. If you select the Credit Card Payment option, we will require the name of the card holder, Credit Card type, number and expiry date.

Freedom of information: Our policy is to work in accordance with the “Freedom of Information Act”, accordingly unless exempted we will  provide you with access to the personal information that we hold about you. To gain access to this information we ask that you send a written request to our Privacy Officer with a Justice of Peace certified copy of your drivers licence or passport to prove your identity, further validation may also be sought.
